Shaping the future of dental care

Paneltech played a crucial role in the development of the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy, providing comprehensive fit-out solutions for this state-of-the-art facility. The project involved the creation of a 24-bay dental training academy, designed to provide students with practical experience in a realistic clinical setting.

Paneltech’s work included:

– Pre-assembly of all partition walls in our factory to ensure precise joints, followed by accurate on-site setting out using our Leica 3D Disto system.

– Installation of hygienic anti-microbial wall cladding throughout the academy.

– Fit-out of each of the 24 bays to function as a full dental surgery, enabling students to train using actual NHS dental patients.

– Fit-out of clinical rooms, providing functional and efficient spaces for patient care.

– Construction of supervisor stations, facilitating effective oversight and instruction.

– Provision of bespoke cabinetry and durable solid surface worktops for all surgeries, including the phantom head training room.

This project showcases Paneltech’s expertise in creating specialised environments for dental education, combining functionality, hygiene, and a design that supports effective learning and patient care.
